CJ Latimore (born in Ridgeland, SC.) lives and works in South Florida and Long Beach, CA. Latimore received a Bachelors in Fine Arts from the University of Miami and a Masters in Computer Science from Barry University. Latimore’s artworks are mixed media pieces that combine different materials and textures that evoke the look and feel of immortality. Often approaching community-driven and socially-engaged topics, Latimore’s work illustrates his mission to create masterpieces inscribed into the motto “Keep Your Legacy Alive.” Public art commissions include those for the Audrey M. Edmonson Transit Village I & II, Miami, Florida, 2019, and for the City of Long Beach, CA, 2006.
CJ Latimore received the JM Family African American Achievement Award in 1999.
